Butts, accused of robbing several trick-or-treaters in Talkeetna of their Halloween candy, is charged with six counts of robbery and seven counts of assault. Both women are being held at the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility, Butts in lieu of $75,000 bail and Martin in lieu of $50,000 bail. She and Amber Martin, 20, of Wasilla were charged with seven counts of robbery, one of attempted robbery and eight counts of assault stemming from the holdup of seven children, ages 10 and 11, on Main Street. The children told troopers that that night a pickup stopped and two women in ski masks exited, threatened them with a handgun, fired a round in the air and demanded their bags of candy. Later that evening, troopers apprehended two men, Butts’ and Martin’s boyfriends, at a diner in town after some of the same children spotted the truck parked outside. More Halloween News
